Things To See And Do

    Cowichan Bay is located in, Cowichan Valley
    meaning  warmland;. Our location on Cowichan
    Bay provides local access to tours in the bay and
    beyond. You can go whale watching or
    kayaking. You can take a  seaplane tour or go
    sightseeing aboard a 39' catamaran. There are
    hiking trails for both novice and experienced.
    The oldest grass tennis courts in Canada are
    nearby.
    The warm climate is ideal for the many vineyards
    nearby. The five golf courses are open all year
    round.
    In the nearby historic village of Cowichan Bay,
    you can experience a working fishing village.
    You can buy fresh seafood at Cowichan Bay
    Seafoods. The wonderful smell of fresh baked
    bread will draw you into True Grain Bread and
    Mill.  Have lunch at Hilary's Cheese Shop or in
    one of several cafés or restaurants.  Arthur
    Vicker's Shipyard Gallery is located in one of the
    original village buildings, the old shipyard
    building, The Masthead restaurant is in one of
    the earliest hotels.  
    In the Maritime Centre watch a vintage boat
    being restored or visit the museum on the
    boardwalk. Watch Herb Rice, our local  Coast
    Salish carver as he goes about his work or hosts
    carving workshops. A variety of artisans, in
    this area,  host studio tours.  Come to  Vancouver
    Island, to Cowichan Bay  and to  Pebbled Shores  
    Bed &  Breakfast for a change of pace and a
    delightful experience.
